About the School of Life Science & Business

The School of Life Science & Business provides dynamic high-tech, hands-on learning opportunities in support of animal health, business and horticulture. The School is also home to the National Meat Training Centre and the Olds College Botanic Gardens. A variety of certificates, diplomas and applied degrees are granted from the School of Life Science & Business. Fields of study offered within the School of Life Science & Business are: Animal Health, Business, Equine, Horticulture, and the National Meat Training Centre.

The Opportunity - Program Manager, Business Management - Edmonton

The Program Manager is accountable to support business programming offered through an academic partnership at Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE). This role will be instrumental to ensuring quality program delivery and supporting the instructional needs of academic staff while fostering a positive learning environment for students.

Temporary Contract (August 2025 - May 2026, with a possibility of extension)

Key Job Functions:

  • Provide oversight for the Business Management Program to ensure high quality program delivery and student academic success
  • Model leadership in a complex environment combined with the ability to coordinate, manage, leverage and integrate the efforts of faculty, staff, external partners for effective operations
  • Contribute and support organization's vision and strategy and ensure effective program delivery, milestones and goals
  • Champion and foster a positive and inclusive work culture, promoting teamwork, collaboration and open communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide guidance, resources, and support to students to ensure academic success
  • Manage logistics for program events and exams to ensure readiness and success
  • Support faculty, students, and stakeholders with scheduling, logistics, program updates, policies and procedures.

Education/Experience/Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, communications, or other related education
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a leadership role
  • Previous experience within a post-secondary setting, working with adult learners, online learning and international students, is an asset
  • Experience in program or project management ensuring adherence to timelines, budget and quality standards
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple partners (both internal and external) to achieve goals
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information to various stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently

Conditions of Employment:

  • The availability to work flexible hours. Some weekend and evening work will be required.
  • Current Criminal Reference check that is free of any offenses.
  • Must respect and actively promote health and safety policies.
