Position Details
Role: Intern – Delivery Management /Revenue Recognition Analyst
Location: Vancouver, Canada (Hybrid)
Type: Full-Time Internship
Role Summary:
The Delivery Management /Revenue Recognition Analyst is responsible for managing the monthly revenue recognition process to ensure the organization’s finances accurately reflect outstanding obligations. This includes reviewing, calculating, recording, and reconciling accruals for expenses and revenues in accordance with accounting standards and internal policies. The role plays a key part in the month-end close process and contributes to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Month-End Revenue Recognition: Prepare month revenue and expense recognition templates, ensuring all costs and income are recorded in the correct accounting periods.
- Data Review & Analysis: Analyze trends in spending and receipts to identify necessary accruals; review vendor invoices, contracts, and purchase orders to estimate obligations.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for revenue recognition-related accounts and investigate variances.
- Reporting: Provide detailed accrual schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external reporting purposes, including audit support. Provide regular and ad hoc reporting to support Project Managers, Project Leads in support of Client Delivery Invoicing & Revenue Recognition processes. Support the following reporting: utilization, project financials, time tracking, etc.
- Client Delivery Invoicing support: Support Project Managers with the creation of Client Delivery invoices.
- Support SOW Management: Send SOW/PCRs for signature via DocuSign.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration/Support: Act as SME on all things and provide support to PMs to lower admin burden on PMs who are billable.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to the Delivery Management and Revenue Recognition process to increase efficiency and accuracy. Includes providing support for documenting new processes and maintenance of existing client delivery management processes.

- Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication for interacting with users and other teams

Preferred Education/Background: Fresh graduates with a Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting or related field
