About the role
Toys R Us Canada, proud to be Canadian owned and operated, has an opportunity for a full-time Fulfilment Team Lead on the day shift supporting the clothing and accessories operation within the Toys R Us Distribution Centre.
Shift Times : Monday to Friday, 7:00a.m. to 3:30p.m.
The Fulfilment Team Lead will perform various duties from processing inbound receipts from vendors to preparing shipments for customer orders, store orders and courier pickups. They must have a sense of urgency and excellent organizational, customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a lead within a fulfillment operation which includes customer online orders as well as ship to store orders
- Accurately process inbound receipts from vendors and carriers always maintaining accuracy
- Research problem receipts and partner with the Department Manager to resolve any problems
- Schedule appointments with transport companies and vendors for receipt of merchandise
- Answering phone calls and liaising with Carriers and vendors to provide the highest level of customer service
- Un-Loading trailers (using various material handling equipment)
- Prepare and palletize receipts for putaway into storage
- Coordinate putaway tasks using RF Technology and X3
- Maintain a filing system for receiving documents (such as records for drivers, dispatch, etc.)
- Provides excellent customer service and responds to inquiries within set timeframes
- Communicating with various levels within the company and ensure flow of communication
- Escalates urgent requests as needed to the DC Manager
- Ensure internal and external customers’ requirements are met in an efficient, knowledgeable and professional manner
- Maintain your work area in a safe and organized manner, ensuring housekeeping standards are adhered to.
- Comply with Toys”R”Us Health and Safety policies, procedures and standards and with the OHSA.
- Must be able to meet all productivity standards established by the company.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1 – 2 years of experience in a fulfilment centre / warehouse environment preferred with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs consistently.
- Must have previous experience and / or hold a valid Reach Truck license
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Sharepoint and MS Teams)
- Proficient in using X3 system and RF technology
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent organization, planning, and communication skill
- Acts with a sense of urgency and self-direction within established guidelines
- Ability to support multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment
- Must be able to cross train between all areas of the DC
- Must have high initiative, integrity and dependability to function effectively as a team player.
