Descriptif mission

Responsible to manage the testers and inspectors on the shop floor. This includes validation of training and support in problem solving. Achieve departmental targets for Delivery Performance, Quality, and budgets. Harmonize the onboarding training process for shop floor to ensure consistency and alignment to the expected standards. Develop and deploy effective cross-training plans to ensure development of all testers and inspectors. Oversee and improve quality control processes: This involves managing inspection plans from start of the process to the end. Support improvement of internal quality and root cause / corrective action activity: Work with shop floor team to ensure consistent quality and performance. Collaborate with other departments: Work closely with operations, planning, methods and CSRs to ensure compliance with Customer's needs. Understand and comply with regulatory requirements: Keep abreast of changes in aviation regulations and ensure compliance. Communicate effectively: Clearly and concisely communicate quality standards and procedures to all stakeholders. Ensure safe operational practices: Promote a culture of safety and ensure that all maintenance activities are performed safely and according to established procedures. Ensure achievement of a high standard of shop organization, control, housekeeping and safety. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to support Business Initiative targets including Visual Management. Help to resolve any technical issues/ investigations in conjunction with Engineering. Labour relations administration and problem solving. Develop teamwork and improve motivation. Support level 1 problem solving on the shop floor to resolve potential quality escapes or discrepancy in interpretation of technical guidelines. Proactive management of internal inspection/testing strategies and continuous improvement of inspection and testing tools/methods.

University degree or College diploma in Operations, Quality, Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5 years experience in aerospace or manufacturing industry. Excellent organizational and communicational skills. Experience managing/supervising in a unionized environment would be an asset. Working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Understanding of and experience working with Regulatory standards. Support requirements outside normal working hours. Previous R&O experience preferred. Project management. Aerospace Industry Product and Process knowledge. Ability to assess technical requirements and provide guidance. Ability to make the right decisions. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to lead people and manage small teams.
