About the role
The ideal candidate will be eager to contribute to the big picture of an investment dealer and will be motivated to learn, grow and engage with staff, partners, advisors and portfolio managers. They will take the role seriously and be attentive to detail while also allowing themselves to be challenged with new perspectives and approaches to assessing and managing risk. The candidate will be comfortable taking ownership of their role, interacting with various departments of a dealer (compliance, finance and operations), and expanding their experiences in order to better integrate their role throughout the company.
Responsibilities
All employees undergo departmental cross training, which is emphasized in the first few months of employment before responsibilities are narrowed. This provides exposure to other areas in which the candidate may be interested in pursuing as they develop their career. Review and approve new accounts and account update requests, in accordance with rules and regulations,
- Collaborate with advisors and internal teams to ensure seamless operational integration and maintain business continuity.
- Manage multiple inboxes and respond to high volumes of inquiries with accuracy, professionalism, and timely follow-up.
- Coordinate cross-departmental requests, ensuring data integrity, compliance with internal standards, and alignment with regulatory expectations.
- Maintain and enforce standard operating procedures while ensuring daily tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency, streamline workflows, and reduce operational risk.
- Contribute to team and organizational success by working independently and collaboratively, offering feedback to improve operations.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives such as audits, reporting, and system enhancements while continuously building subject matter expertise.
Qualifications

Candidate must have university degree in business administration or commerce, and 2-3 years’ experience using Dataphile or an equivalent platform. Additional requirements:
- Critical thinker and skillful decision maker, adaptable in a changing regulatory environment,
- Contemplating completion of securities and investment industry courses (CSC, CPH), or equivalent designation,
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced dynamic environment with a sharp eye for detail,
- Self-starter and continuous learner with the capacity to work independently.
