We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Asset Management Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. This role is ideal for a professional with strong experience in Hardware Asset Management and exposure to Software Asset Management, particularly with Tier 2 software publishers.
As part of our enterprise IT operations, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of IT hardware assets—ensuring accurate inventory tracking, optimizing asset utilization, and supporting software asset management practices. Your work will help ensure compliance, cost-efficiency, and operational excellence across our technology landscape.
What you will do:
- Support the execution of ITAM strategic initiatives in partnership with internal and external ITAM stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment among ITAM stakeholders. Be an advocate and educate fellow employees about company hardware policies, internal and external control frameworks and ITAM industry standards.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT hardware assets, including computers, servers, networking equipment, storage, mainframes.
- Develop and implement asset management policies and procedures to optimize asset utilization and minimize costs.
- Track asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of asset records and identify discrepancies.
- Execute the accurate tracking business controls, key performance indicators, and metrics to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory expectations.
- Produce insightful reports and dashboards covering asset status, utilization, KPIs, and control metrics to support informed decision-making and demonstrate compliance with regulatory standards.
- Streamline, simplify, and continuously improve existing processes and workflow automations while adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Provide support for hardware-related issues, including troubleshooting and coordinating repairs.
- Foster effective relationships and collaborate with internal and external ITAM stakeholders.
- Coordinate with procurement and finance teams to manage asset acquisition, deployment, and retirement.
- Identify new ITAM trends, potential risks and recommend solutions.
What you will bring:
- Proven experience in IT hardware asset management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IT hardware components and configurations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and a natural ability to solve complex issues. High attention to detail and strong ability to learn new technologies.
- Strong understanding on Configuration Management Database (CMDB) principles, including data accuracy, relationships between assets, and the lifecycle of hardware assets.
- Proficiency in IT asset management and discovery tools. ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management Foundation, ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management Professional, ServiceNow
- Software Asset Management Professional, ServiceNow ITOM Discovery, Intune, SCCM/MECM, JAMF.
- Working experience and understanding of interpreting licensing terms and conditions, licensing models, contracts for Tie 2 Publishers (i.e. Quest, Suse, BMC, Micro Focus, etc.)
- Solid understanding on ServiceNow reporting and dashboard creation capabilities.
- A clear understanding of the ITIL framework and an ability to apply ITIL principles within an IT service management environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
The base salary for this position is between $63,500.00 - $117,400.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
