Eventscape has an exciting opportunity for an Purchasing Clerk to join our team.
As the Purchasing Clerk, you are responsible for sourcing quality material, equipment, goods, and services, at the most competitive prices that will enable the company to operate and produce efficiently and profitably. This position will also look for ways to continually improve purchasing and sourcing processes. The Purchasing Clerk is fiscally responsible to accounting. Ownership of the position, effective negotiation, networking, and time management skills are essential to the success of this position.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Purchasing Clerk position will be responsible for:
Purchasing Expertise
- support the purchasing team with contacting and sourcing vendors
- create and issue purchase documents
- identify, evaluate, and escalate risks that could affect project deliverables and schedule
- communicate with vendors and resolve discrepancies in price, quantity, quality, and delivery dates
Logistics Support
- assist with shipping and logistics by obtaining quotes and preparing all related shipping documentation
Accounting Support
- support the accounting department with daily matching of packing slips, purchase orders, and other related documents with invoices
Organization
- build out and maintain processes to keep files organized and easily accessible.
- monitor and maintain inventory systems
- maintain the vendor database; ensure that purchase records and documentation are up-to-date
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will have:
- post-secondary education in Business, Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience
- awareness of construction, material specifications, tools, and equipment
- outstanding communication skills
- a high proficiency with the Office 365 suite, especially Excel
- an ability to meet deadlines, manage your time, and stay organized
- a proactive approach to problem solving
- experience in an architecture, construction, or manufacturing industry an asset
