The Ministry of Social Services, Program Support Branch, is seeking a collaborative, innovative, and flexible individual who will be responsible for performing and supervising program and administrative operational functions in our Weyburn and Estevan offices. In this position, you will promote the vision of the ministry to work with citizens as they build better lives for themselves through economic independence, strong families, and strong community organizations.
Our branch provides support services to numerous Ministry programs, and you will be responsible for overseeing and assisting administrative support staff with: client service; entering and retrieving data to/from pre-packaged software programs and databases; receiving, sorting, and distributing large amounts of mail; record keeping; and other general administrative tasks and duties.
As the Office Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing office space, purchasing, and inventory, and will be responsible for liaising between human resources, property management, accounting, and other departments, branches, and agencies as required.
As a member of the supervisory team, you will be responsible for recruitment, probation reviews, coaching, performance evaluation/improvement, work planning, training, scheduling, and day-to-day support and guidance of staff.
Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of office administrative procedures, policies, protocols, records management, filing systems, office equipment, computer applications, and applicable accounting principles.

This position is based in Weyburn, and also serves as the Office Coordinator for our Estevan office. Periodic travel between locations will be required.
Typically, the knowledge required for this position is obtained through the completion of an office education program, several years’ experience in administrative roles, and previous supervisory experience. Relevant combinations of education and experience may also be considered.
