The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for accurately assembling and routing orders, managing inventory, and supporting production operations in a safe, organized, and courteous environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring the timely and correct handling of goods for production and shipping while maintaining high standards of workplace safety and cleanliness.

The teammate will be responsible for -

Order Fulfillment & Inventory Management: Assemble and prepare shipments in Oracle, ensuring all orders include a bill of lading and meet customer-specific requirements (e.g., NSLC, NBLC, NLC, PEILC). Pick and inspect orders, ensuring products are clean and free from damage. Perform regular and as-needed inventory checks of case goods. Record and report unresolved order issues to the Warehouse Lead Hand.

Warehouse Operations & Support: Support the packaging line by supplying materials (glass, cartons, etc.) and promptly removing finished goods. Load the palletizer with empty skids and store finished pallets appropriately. Receive and properly store incoming goods, including directing pallets and materials to designated areas.

Cleaning & Organization: Participate in routine and as-needed cleaning of workstations and the warehouse to maintain a safe and organized environment. Assist in overall warehouse organization, ensuring aisles, shelves, and storage areas are clean and accessible.

Equipment Operation & Safety: Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe and courteous manner. Perform and document daily forklift inspections; report issues to the Lead Hand immediately. Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safe work practices.

Health & Safety Compliance: Proactively identify and report workplace hazards or unsafe conditions to the Lead Hand. Immediately report all incidents, injuries, or unsafe acts to the Operations Manager. Actively participate in safety initiatives and hazard prevention efforts.

Customer Service & Communication: Maintain a courteous and professional attitude when working with internal and external partners. Consistently strive to provide excellent customer service across all warehouse functions. Ensure clear communication and collaboration with co-workers and supervisors.

CERTIFICATIONS

  • Forklift and Scissor Lift License (training and certification can be provided on-site if not currently held)
  • WHMIS Training

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Physical Demands: Frequent lifting of up to 16 kg, standing, walking, and operating warehouse equipment.
  • Working Conditions: Primarily warehouse-based; may include occasional exposure to temperature variations and noise.
  • Schedule: Shift may vary between 8:00am–4:30pm or 6:00am-2:30pm with occasional overtime as required to meet operational needs.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy required in order processing, inventory counts, and material handling.

The teammate will bring -

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or production support preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety practice
