About the role

Process Development (PD) Associate is responsible for assisting the development of production procedures to optimize manufacturing processes and meet regulatory requirements. The Associate supports developing scalable processes with improved product yield and reduced costs for manufacturing systems, including the implementation of new methods and technologies. Associates will analyze and interpret generated data for the purposes of reporting and informing supervisors.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develops and conducts assigned studies in accordance with study protocols
  • Performs an array of laboratory analyses
  • Maintains laboratory safety regulations
  • Writes organized and detailed reports of studies undertaken
  • Trains fellow team members on analytical and process techniques
  • Maintains process and laboratory equipment
  • May lead small-group projects under supervision

Basic Requirements (Education/Experience):

  • Diploma from a technical college in Biotechnology with 5+ years of work experience in a laboratory, or postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular/Cell Biology or related field with 3+ years’ work experience.
  • Related experience in a biopharmaceutical or academic laboratory
  • Experience working with cell culture techniques, including suspension cells
  • Experience working with analytical methods
  • Experience working with viruses

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with biologic processing (e.g. chromatography, filtration, bioreactors)
  • Experience working under GMP regulations

Contract Details:
This is a 2-year full-time contract with the possibility of renewal.
Salary: Min: $34.176 – Max: $45.567
