At Summit Valve your hard work does not go unnoticed. We are a Western Canadian based distributor of valves, actuators, and instrumentation products. We need an exceptional Inside Sales Representative to join our team.
What does this mean?
The Product Specialist, Instrumentation is an invaluable part of the Summit Valve Sales team and plays an integral role in the support and development of Summit Valve and Controls Inc. This position is responsible for the development and promotion of sales for defined products—including instrumentation, valve actuation, and automated valve assemblies—within the defined territory. It is expected that the Product Specialist will work both with and independently of Account Managers. This includes sales calls and site visits.
It is required that this role collaborates with the Management Teams, Sales Departments, and Operations across all Provinces.
The job description and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Sales Growth and Strategy Implementation
- Develop a business plan and sales strategy to attain company sales goals and profitability for the defined products within the defined territory.
- Within the scope of instrumentation, valve actuation, and automated valve assemblies, work with Sales and Account Managers to:
- Achieve the goals outlined in their sales plan
- Develop and attain KPIs
- Maintain updated information in the CRM
- Collaborate with Inside Sales and Account Managers to develop and execute bid strategies, to increase market share, and maximize gross margin.
- Maintain an adequate frequency of site visits and customer calls.
- Work with Marketing to develop whitepapers and marketing collateral.
- Work with the VP, Business Development to identify growth opportunities and develop a plan to achieve growth.
- Maintain necessary certifications and meet OHS requirements to gain access to Vendor or Customer sites.
Education and Experience
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Industrial Sales in the Valve and automation Industry.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
