We're a close-knit team of techies, creatives and wordsmiths who genuinely care about our craft and each other. We move fast, stay curious, and treat every challenge as a learning opportunity. If you're looking to grow your career while making a meaningful impact, we'd love to meet you.

The Role:
We’re hiring a Software Engineer I (Front-End Focus) to help shape and deliver exceptional user experiences across our platforms. You’ll use your deep knowledge of React, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks to create responsive, accessible, and high-performing UIs. This role combines a sharp eye for design execution with strong technical ability to implement full-stack features with back-end support.

You’ll work closely with designers, product managers, and back-end developers to craft intuitive interfaces and elevate our user experience.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Build responsive, accessible front-end applications using React, TypeScript, and SASS/Styled Components
  • Work with designers in Figma to translate UI/UX designs into pixel-perfect implementations
  • Optimize for web performance, Core Web Vitals, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Implement and consume RESTful APIs in collaboration with back-end engineers
  • Apply best practices in code modularity, reusability, and maintainability
  • Use version control (GitHub), participate in peer code reviews, and contribute to internal documentation
  • Ensure user security through front-end validation and awareness of XSS/CSRF risks
  • Stay up to date with new front-end frameworks, tools, and techniques
  • Contribute to discussions on system architecture and UI state management strategies

What You Bring (Core Skills):

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on front-end engineering
  • Expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS
  • Strong understanding of responsive design and SEO best practices
  • Familiarity with JS runtime concepts (scope, hoisting, event loop, async behavior)
  • Experience integrating front-end components with Laravel-based back ends and RESTful APIs
  • Comfortable working with different LLMs to improve productivity (Copilot, Claude Code, CursorAI, JetBrain Junie)
  • Comfortable using design systems and front-end testing frameworks
  • Basic understanding of containerization (Docker) and deployment workflows
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across disciplines
  • Bonus: knowledge of Google Core Web Vitals, accessibility standards (WCAG), and front-end performance tools

More Perks and Reasons to Join:

  • We’re proud to be recognized as a Great Place to Work® for the last four consecutive years
  • A hybrid work environment and a beautiful midtown Toronto office for when you want to collaborate in person
  • A flexible hybrid work environment; most of our team works 1-2 days a week in the office
  • Top-tier benefits include comprehensive dental/medical/vision as well as Health Spending Account (HSA), RRSP matching, telemedical and wellness program
  • Quarterly company-wide team outings and events
  • Free in-office snacks, espresso, and an outdoor patio
  • A supportive learning environment (Pair programming sessions, lunch & learns and more)
  • Access to a wide variety of learning resources and tools that will help boost your productivity (GitHub co-pilot, ChatGPT, Laracast, Oriley and more)
