Buyer, plays a crucial role in a company's procurement process by acquiring goods and services required for the organization's operations. This position involves sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, products, or services to meet the company's needs while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and source potential suppliers and vendors.
• Evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate terms, and establish contracts.
• Ensure that purchased products and services meet the required specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor market trends and maintain awareness of changes that may affect the supply chain.

Supplier Relationship Management:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers promptly.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve quality, reduce costs, and optimize delivery schedules.

Cost Negotiation:

• Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to secure cost-effective deals.
• Analyze pricing proposals and recommend actions based on cost, quality, and delivery.
• Order Processing and Coordination:
• Process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure that purchase orders align with organizational needs.
• Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery.

Market Research:

• Stay informed about market trends, new products, and industry developments.
• Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
• Budget Management:
• Work within established budgets and financial guidelines.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related role an asset.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills an asset.
• Familiarity with procurement software and tools an asset.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail an asset.
• Knowledge of market trends and supply chain best practices an asset.
