Founded in 2019, Rx Connect Specialty Pharmacy is a proudly Canadian company, comprised of healthcare professionals with extensive specialty medication experience with a location in Mississauga, Ontario, and another in Calgary, Alberta. We are a distinctive healthcare company, with patient relationship skills that set us apart. We mainly deal with patients who require biologics/specialty medications used in the treatment of chronic medical conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, urticaria, ulcerative colitis, and many others.
About the position:
As a IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure. Your role involves assisting in the design, implementation, and optimization of network systems to ensure maximum performance, availability, and security. You will work closely with company staff and the CEO to troubleshoot issues, deploy upgrades, and enhance network capabilities.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day operational support for network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Respond promptly to network-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
- Ensure that network devices are properly set up and optimized to meet organizational requirements.
- Monitor network performance and utilization.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve issues before they impact users.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to end-users regarding network connectivity, access issues, and related concerns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT support, system administrators, and application developers.
Experience and Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
- Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CISSP) are a plus.

Our goal is to individualize your therapeutic journey that offers the highest possible quality of care, counseling, education, reviewing all possible drug interactions, handling and managing specialty medications, prescription services "Rx Assist," and providing rapid access to your medication(s).
