We are looking for an Order Desk and Delivery Coordinator with a passion for sales and customer service to support our Concrete Team.

This role focuses on managing customer orders, dispatching concrete trucks, and ensuring excellent service delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-oriented mindset, strong administration skills, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

Key Responsibilities as Dispatcher:
In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our operations run smoothly by taking customer orders, and scheduling and dispatching concrete trucks from various locations. Your main goal is to provide timely, and efficient service to our customers by quickly responding to changing delivery demands, and adjusting schedules as needed.
Requirements
- Take customer orders over the phone and via online platforms
- Prepare and process invoicing for orders accurately and promptly
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Dispatch concrete trucks and arrange delivery routes efficiently
- Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate customer needs and demands
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and targets
- Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and customer interactions
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction
- May provide additional support to other departments (e.g. performing research) during slow periods
- Working with prospective and existing clients to determine their requirements and obtain feedback on our services via inbound and outbound calls
- Conduct professional, engaging sales presentations over the phone
- Providing and maintaining an elevated level of customer service
- Answer questions and offer suggestions to prospective and regular customers based on a thorough knowledge of the product line and emphasize product/service features and benefits
- Offer additional products/services to customers related to the sale or their project
- Create year-over-year sales growth
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience or administration or direct customer service
- Knowledge of the construction or concrete industry an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent listening skills
- Customer-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to service.
- Ability to adjust priorities and schedules on the fly based on customer needs.
- Desire and motivation to meet and exceed goals/targets.
- Self motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
- Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures
- Ability to occasionally travel and attend sales events or exhibits
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Professional demeanor, and selling style
- Flexible, able to deal with change
- Very organized, with excellent multi-tasking and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
Working Conditions
- Regularly scheduled workdays: Tuesday to Saturday with availability to support on Mondays, if required
- Hours: Tuesday to Friday starting at 11:00 am and Saturday starting at 6:45 am and working until the last truck is parked in the yard (variable end time based on customer requirements). Tuesday to Friday this can be anytime between 6:00pm-11:00pm and on Saturday between 1:00 pm and 4:30pm.
- This is an hourly role and hours can vary between 35-50+ hours per week depending on the season (eligible for OT after 44 hours)
- May be required to work an alternative schedule to support vacations or sick days
- Spring to Fall Season is extremely busy: must be able to work overtime when required or when schedule demands. Note that end time in Spring to Fall can vary between 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm on weekday nights
- Extended periods of sitting and repetitive work
- High noise levels when working outdoors
- Regular exposure to conditions including heat, humidity, rain, cold, snow, and dust
- High levels of stress and pressure
- Use of required personal protective equipment, specifically Safety boots (CSA Green triangle patch and CSA White rectangle with orange Greek letter omega – Ω) are required
