Civil/Structural Engineer – Nuclear Facility (New Brunswick Based)

Location: Point Lepreau, New Brunswick
Clearance Required: Must be eligible for CSIS security clearance
Type: Full-time / Contract (based on project need)
Experience Level: Intermediate (3–5 years)

Our work spans the clean power, transmission, smart grid, energy optimization, and retrofit sectors. We deliver high-impact solutions for clients including utilities, developers, governments, and private equity stakeholders — all with a focus on decarbonization, digitalization, and energy performance. We are actively building a team of technical advisors for upcoming energy efficiency retrofit and building decarbonization projects. These roles will support portfolio-scale energy strategies, technical due diligence, and performance validation for PowerTek’s client base across North America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and design using concrete, steel, and masonry.
- Conduct on-site inspections and coordinate with rebar and construction teams.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, technical drawings, and documentation.
- Ensure design compliance with CSA, ACI, and NBCC standards.
- Support seismic and durability assessments for critical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet quality and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s a plus).
- EIT or P.Eng. eligible in New Brunswick .
- 3+ years of experience in structural design or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian building codes (NBCC, CSA, ACI).
- Proficient in AutoCAD and at least one structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE).
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working on nuclear or high-security sites.
- Familiarity with FRP bar design and CSA S806.
- Revit and Bluebeam Revu experience.
