About the Opportunity

The Diagnostic Imaging Clinical Informatics Analyst will support the design, implementation, optimization, and adoption of clinical informatics initiatives by working collaboratively with stakeholders, technical experts and/or vendors as required. Using critical and creative thinking the Diagnostic Imaging Clinical Informatics Analyst analyzes, prioritizes, and translates user needs and requests related to the diagnostic imaging aspects of the CIS. The Diagnostic Imaging Clinical Informatics Analyst works with stakeholders across NSH, IWK and its many external partners.

The Diagnostic Imaging Clinical Informatics Analyst collaborates with key clinical and business stakeholders throughout the province, in partnership with the province’s NS Digital Services and the Department of Health and Wellness.

The Diagnostic Imaging Clinical Informatics Analyst will be committed to a high standard of performance and will provide support across the province for the implementation and support of the OPOR clinical information system.

This role may require travel across the province supporting the diagnostic imaging aspects of the OPOR CIS during the programs go-lives.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Post-secondary education in clinical, health science, information technology and or health informatics
  • 1-2 years previous clinical informatics experience required
  • Experience in any diagnostic imaging modality is an asset
  • Experience in CIS projects and go-lives are an asset
  • Experience in workflow and process redesign an asset
  • Able to function well within a team setting and independently
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communications skills
  • Proven good attendance record with capabilities of maintaining this same standard
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and ability for some travel within the province.
  • Certification in CPHIMS, IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Project Management (PMP) and/or organizational change management an asset
  • Experience supporting or using clinical application systems and related services in a complex health care organizational environment considered an asset
  • Ability to relay or explain complex technical issues or difficult scenarios to clinical and business staff an asset
  • Basic knowledge of systems principles, theories, and concepts within healthcare
  • Ability to solve a range of complex problems; identify innovative solutions, and use clinical best practice knowledge of internal and/or external business issues to improve service
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience creating summary documentation based on evaluation and analysis
  • Organizational Skills, high level of accuracy, and attention to detail

Hours

  • Temporary, Full-time Position; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
