About the role
SECONDARY SECRETARY: Main Office Secretary
DUTIES:
Reporting to the Principal/Administrative Assistant, the duties of the Main Office Secretary include:

Maintenance of Board and in-school budgets.

Assistance in exam procedures.
-
Assistance in mark reporting, scheduling, September report, year-end procedures.
-
Preparation of various SIS reports as required.
-
Schedule appointments, receptionist and phones, mail, correspondence.
-
Send Maintenance requests by helpdesk.
-
Responsible for processing purchase orders and receipt of goods.
-
On-call and supply teacher coverage.
-
Type newsletters, teacher handbook, student handbook and course planning guide.
-
Data entry as assigned.
-
All other duties assigned by the Principal/Administrative Assistant.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Secondary School graduate or equivalent required
- Successful completion of an Office Administration Program from a recognized Post-Secondary Institution and/or equivalent experience in office administration is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher)
- Experience with Google Applications would be an asset
- Experience with Aspen (Student Information System) would be an asset
- Experience with School Cash Suite & K212 would be an asset
- Proven commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
