Your impact

We are seeking a Senior Construction Contracts Manager to spearhead management of numerous construction contracts. This pivotal role will orchestrate complex subcontracting activities for high-value construction services, leveraging advanced knowledge of procurement and contract management principles to drive project success.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of industry-leading procurement strategies, contract management best practices, and innovative techniques for ensuring optimal task completion. They will be adept at seamlessly integrating procurement and contract management functions with other critical project elements, consistently exceeding value-added expectations while adhering to and enhancing established policies and procedures.

The selected candidate would require working at the project site full time, in Delta. Key Responsibilities

  • Strategize and execute contract management for major construction services and procurement of complex, long-lead equipment
  • Develop and refine policies, procedures, systems, and tools to optimize procurement and contracting processes
  • Provide expert consultation to key stakeholders on procurement and contract management strategies
  • Oversee high-stakes agreement administration and negotiate complex change orders
  • Implement sophisticated financial controls for contractor invoice review and approval
  • Spearhead expediting, tracking, and coordination of critical contractor deliverables
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of contract-related challenges and devise innovative solutions
  • Establish and maintain contracting documentation systems
  • Lead risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies for high-profile contracts
  • Mentor and supervise procurement and contracts support personnel
  • Foster collaborative relationships with clients, contractors, project stakeholders, and departmental leaders

Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of their role.

Here's what you'll need

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in construction contracting, with a proven track record of managing complex, high-value projects
  • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in corporate risk management policies and cutting-edge industry practices
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proven ability to interface effectively with executives, engineering leads, project directors, and key clients
  • Innovative mindset with a passion for driving continuous improvement in contract management processes
  • Meticulous attention to detail combined with the ability to see the broader strategic picture

150,000.00

Posted Salary Range Upper

200,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $150,000.00 to $200,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across British Columbia, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
