We are seeking Personal Support Worker candidates for a permanent full-time rotation in addition to permanent part-time opportunities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Adheres to the plan of care as determined by the care team
- Assists with resident/client personal care/hygiene, nutrition and activities of daily living
- Observes and reports on changes in resident/client condition to supervisor
- Supports residents/clients with cognitive/psychological deficits by utilizing care interventions to minimize potential for responsive behaviours
- Assists with ambulation, mobilization, transferring and adaptive aids
- Demonstrates understanding of resident/client needs and maximize abilities
- Maintains resident/client information confidential
- Refers resident/client or family concerns to the nurse in charge of unit
- Notifies supervisor of any concerns impacting resident/client safety
- Assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment, including resident/client equipment, belongings and nursing equipment
- Completes documentation in PointClickCare in POC and notes
- Completes all other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Personal Support Worker Diploma from a recognized Community College
- Dementia Studies certificate preferred
- Experience in Long Term Care setting preferred
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong interpersonal and customer focused skills
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
- Empathetic to residents and clients
- Safety minded
- Team player
- Motivated to learn
- Cooperates and communicates well with co-workers
- Dependable to work all assigned shifts and accept call-ins
Since Maxville Manor is located in a remote/rural location, you would also qualify for special grants which can be applied towards any student loans you may have incurred during your education.

Pay: $25.31-$26.85 per hour
