Job Description
The Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Marlies Skate Teams are responsible for clearing the ice pregame and during the television timeouts at home games. As a valuable member of our team, you will act as an ambassador during game promotions and events, both internal and external. This position is physically demanding and requires candidates to possess advanced skating abilities and strong attention to detail.
Position Type: Seasonal Contract starting in September 2025.

Removing snow buildup on the ice surface during television timeouts.

Execute ice maintenance duties (shoveling, skating, and repair) with accuracy, speed, performance, and detail.

Act as an ambassador of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Marlies, both at home games and events.

Set up, execute, and tear down all related equipment for ice clearing (shovels, buckets, etc.) and Game Presentation items (equipment, promotional items, etc.).

Professionally represent the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Marlies, and MLSE.

Work diligently to always ensure the safety of oneself and others.

Provide friendly and informed responses to any service-related issue/inquiry.
-
Communicate positively and professionally with MLSE staff, NHL/AHL staff, and fans.

Adhere to all MLSE service standards and policies, including working in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Qualifications

Must be flexible to work weekday shifts as early as 5:00 pm, weekends, and/or holidays (both day and/or evening shifts), as well as staying until the end of the games.

Strong skating ability is a requirement.

Available to work at least 60% of Toronto Maple Leafs/Marlies home games.

Hockey skates are a requirement (please note that figure skates are not permitted).

Able to take direction and show initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Comfortable leading groups of all ages.

Solid knowledge of the game of hockey and Toronto Maple Leafs/Marlies is an asset.
