About the Role:

As the Controller, reporting to the CFO and Group Controller, you'll oversee accounting and payroll operations, generate financial reports, manage general ledger transactions, and ensure top-notch employee benefits and payroll processes. Be a key player in our financial success!

Schedule: Full-time; 5 days per week in office

Compensation: $90,000/year

Who You Are:

Experienced: Minimum of 3 years as a Controller in a Canadian Automotive Dealership or similar industry.

Detail-Oriented and Accurate: Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Organized and Discreet: Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task, and maintain confidentiality.

Responsive and Self-Managed: Ability to meet diverse client needs, self-manage in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented role, with strong communication and time management skills.

Tech Savvy: Proficient in MS Office applications and Outlook; Experience using a DMS (PBS Systems, CDK Global, or similar).

What Your Day Will Look Like:

Financial Statements: Preparing dealership financial statements for submission to the manufacturer and bank.

Reconciliations: Completing monthly reconciliations for dealership financial statements, bank reconciliations, warranty reconciliations, and reconciling manufacturer statements, inventory, service contracts, and vehicle dealer reserves.

Deal Sheets and Commissions: Preparing deal sheets, posting all commissions and back pay-outs, and reconciling sales commissions.

Payroll and Employee Management: Preparing and reconciling hourly payroll for dealerships, processing new employees and departures into dealership and payroll software applications, and managing employee files.

Accounts Receivable and Payable: Overseeing accounts receivable and accounts payable processed by AP/AR personnel.
