The Environmental Services Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all facility users. This position involves performing cleaning and sanitation tasks in various areas of the facility, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
- Dispose of waste materials according to established procedures and regulations.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies; report any maintenance needs or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of germs and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as needed, including deep cleaning tasks or emergency clean-ups.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure all areas are maintained to high standards of cleanliness.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a housekeeping or environmental services role is desirable but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with staff and patients.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may involve lifting, bending, standing for long periods, and working in various environments.
This position is essential for maintaining the overall health and safety standards within our facility while providing a pleasant atmosphere for all individuals present.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.12 per hour
