ABOUT THE TEAM
The Advisor, Private Markets Solutions Delivery plays a key role in the Private Markets agile team to maximize the value delivered by the Technology, Data and Operations’ (TDO) group. The Private Markets Advisor has various clients (business partners) delivering on Private Markets Asset Classes and Operations areas such as Natural Resources, Investment Finance, Real Estate and Private Risk.
ABOUT YOUR ROLE
As an Advisor, Private Markets Solutions Delivery, you’ll:
- Act as a lead on business cases elaboration, digital solution assessment, business and technical impact analysis
- Play a frontline role liaising between information technology / data and the investment professionals in terms of business requirements translation to solution design specifications
- Take ownership of complex problem-analysis assignments, identify added-value opportunities through Private Market investment process, anticipate business needs; recommend efficient solutions and being an enabler of their implementation
- Ensure a monitoring role on trends, technologies and solutions features, make recommendations align with business objectives
- Have a good understanding of the platforms and solutions used by Private Market investment professionals
- Derive innovative but practical and viable solutions from the articulated business strategic plan and delivery roadmap
- Be an enabler by contributing to proof of concept and prototyping of new solutions and enhancements through analysis, design, development, testing and implementation
- Develop and share knowledge of the Private Market business area, systems and relationships with delivery teams and business lines
- Mentor and guide more junior resources and team members
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science and/or a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant work experience
- Ability to clearly communicate business and technical aspects, risks and challenges of the solution to different stakeholders at all levels
- Strong and proven problem-solving skills; pragmatic approach to identifying, analyzing and solving problems to achieve target solutions
- Demonstrated ability to influence, engage and build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels, outstanding presentation and communications skills
- Ability to participate in long-term, strategic business requirements gathering for the design of information technologies
- Working knowledge of traditional database/infrastructure such as Microsoft SQL Server
- Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
