Key Accountabilities:
Assist with the design and development and maintain the in house inventory management program
Support the daily, weekly, monthly cycle count program for the site ensuring compliance to SLA requirements
Support the Replenishment/Slotting team
Identify and assist with resolving inventory discrepancies
Assist with planning and undertake periodic (annual) wall-to-wall physical inventory count
Generate and analyze reports from the inventory management system for management
Follow company policies/procedures and Quality/safety/HR related policies and procedures.
Ensuring daily reporting of operational/quality requirements are completed.
Performing special projects as required by the Inventory Control Supervisor.
Experience and Qualification
Must have at least 2 years’ experience in an operations or distribution environment with specific experience in inventory management
A College Diploma is required, with background in logistics/supply chain will be a plus
Must have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with customers and employees.
Must possess problem solving, conflict resolution, decision making and planning/organizing skills.
Excellent written/oral communication and excellent listening skills.
MHE certification is considered an asset.
Ability to multi-task and excellent time management and computer skills.
Must be creative and possess the ability to think outside the box.
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Fast paced distribution center environment
Conveyor machinery noise; material handling equipment traffic
Constant sitting with frequent standing and walking through the shift
Occasionally may need to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Some kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting
Most work on a computer on a desk with some elements of picking, packing as required
Ascending and descending stairs, ladders and ramps
