Reporting to the Translation Lead, the Translator will be responsible for the translations of all corporate, internal and external, communications and documentation. The Translator will work closely with key stakeholders within the organization to ensure adherence to brand and other pertinent guidelines. The Translator should ensure that English-to-French translations clearly communicate the intended message while staying culturally appropriate for a French-speaking audience, with an understanding of conversational nuances between the two languages. In addition to producing high-quality work, the Translator must also deliver all translated documents on a timely basis and ensure they meet the needs of the target audience.

Your Mission:

• Produce high-quality translations and adaptations from English to French-Canadian that are adapted to the target audience;
• Translate and/or update a wide variety of material across five lines of business with content that from areas such as human resources, information technology and operations, quality assurance, etc.;
• Follow translation standards pertaining to sentence structure, tonality, contextual terminology, and formatting to fit the overall style and image of the brand;
• Consult with subject matter experts and other team members in order to understand specialized concepts and translate them accurately.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Bachelor’s degree in English to French Translation;
• 5+ years of Translation experience in a structured and professional environment;
• Complete fluency in French and English, both written and verbal communication;
• Familiarity with translation memory software and gender-neutral language is an asset;
• Experience translating documents in the Pharmaceutical or Health care industry is an asset;
• Exceptional writing, editing and grammar skills, with the ability to maintain cultural context;
• Meticulous attention to detail including the ability to conduct appropriate research;
• Demonstrated professionalism to manage multiple projects within tight timelines, easily adapting to business priorities; and
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional group environment to support a national team.

Compensation: At BioScript, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location.
