Accounting/Bookkeeper Administrator
Job Overview
Do you have knowledge and bookkeeping experience in the non-profit sector ? The Boys and Girls Club (BGC) of Strathcona County is looking for an integral member with a passion for non-profit to join our organization on a part-time basis. It is expected that this person will have experience in all aspects of the Non-Profit bookkeeping and financial management, including grant funding (restricted/unrestricted), delivering financial planning and reporting, as well as understanding the nuances that make bookkeeping and finances for this sector unique.
The ideal candidate is an authentic and innovative professional with a background in non-profit accounting, bookkeeping, or related fields and is passionate about financial management. You will play an integral role in producing multiple financial reports in accordance with government policies, processes, guidelines, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. You will have a strong interest in and/or experience working in the not-for-profit world and care about the environment. This is an on-site office position where hybrid work accommodations can be discussed/considered.
Required skills:
Experience with Quickbooks Online
Experience managing GST
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented and accurate in task and completion
Experience working in the Microsoft Office Suite of products, an asset
Experience in a multi-client environment, an asset
Experience tracking time between projects, an asset
