About the role
Responsible for dispatching freight for our customers and communicating with shippers and freight carriers to ensure freight is moving from its original point to its final destination.
Responsibilities:
- Answers customers in a timely manner.
- Provides appropriate rates to customers while maintaining profit margins and ensuring efficient and effective customer service.
- Partners with trusted carriers who have passed safer check, have valid insurance and have a positive service record with Vitesse.
- Analyses risks/rewards when partnering with new carriers.
- Ensures instructions and special requirements are clearly communicated to carriers and warehouse if loads are being picked up or delivered at Vitesse.
- Tracks shipments and ensures delays or issues are communicated to shippers, receivers, team and Customer Service Representatives.
- Provides key clients with distinct service requirements.
- Requests PODs from carriers on all outstanding orders.
- Supports Customer Service Representatives if needed.
- English is required as 70% of our 3pl business is for customers based outside Québec.
