Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to oversee and execute various carpentry projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction, with the ability to lead a team while ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires proficiency in multiple carpentry techniques and the capability to manage tasks from start to finish, including planning, execution, and final inspections.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate carpentry projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications.
- Fabricate and install structures such as decks, sunrooms, pergolas and more.
- Restore existing structures while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Train and mentor junior carpenters, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, including power tools used for various carpentry tasks.
Skills
- You have lead a carpentry team within the last 5 years.
- Proficiency in using power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to restore existing structures while maintaining aesthetic integrity.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
- Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills to manage a team efficiently.
- Commitment to safety practices on job sites.
