Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Energy Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to clients on energy efficiency solutions, renewable energy options, and sustainability practices. Your primary goal will be to help customers reduce their energy consumption and costs while promoting environmentally friendly practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct energy assessments for residential and commercial properties to identify opportunities for energy savings.
- Help homeowners qualify for the Greener Homes Loan Program
- Provide tailored recommendations on energy-efficient products and services based on client needs.
- Educate clients about renewable energy options, including solar and wind solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings from assessments and recommendations made to clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement energy-saving initiatives effectively.
Skills
- Strong understanding of energy efficiency principles and renewable energy technologies.
- 1 year minimum construction background.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable manner.
- Proven problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using software tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A background in environmental science, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Experience with Hot 2000 software is an asset.
