Scope:
The Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for day-to-day purchasing of materials and services by obtaining quotes, generating PO’s and receiving materials. They will also coordinate and monitor activities at 3PL Warehousing, monitor inventory levels throughout the supply chain, maintain ERP system data, and support the Supply Chain in new production initiatives. This individual will analyze and maintain accurate materials demand plans while monitoring inventory to ensure on-time availability. Reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

Important: There is one (1) full-time, permanent position (Winnipeg preferred), and a 1-year contract position available (Winnipeg or Ste. Agathe).

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Coordinates activities at 3PL providers to ensure service levels and commitments are met. Identifies issues and works to bring a resolution
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy, cycle count processes, and physical year-end inventory counts. Perform daily inventory reconciliations between locations to ensure accuracy
  • Handles the day to day procurement activities including sourcing materials, obtaining quotes, processing purchasing requisitions, creating purchase orders, and tacking and tracing purchase orders and freight.
  • Responsible for maintaining required inventory levels to ensure material needs are met
  • Analyze and maintain ERP system data in relation to Supply Chain functions
  • Monitor the demand plan performance (forecast error, accuracy, bias) by measuring actual versus planned.
  • Effectively plans inventory positions to eliminate stock outs and maximize inventory turns
  • Monitors key performance indicators and metrics, identifies issues, investigates and enacts changes based on findings.
  • Analyze industry and demand trends to develop and implement cost-effective sourcing strategies
  • Ensures on time movement of material through the supply chain network
  • Actively seeks continuously improvement opportunities
  • Creates training documents, work instructions, SOP and documentation as required
  • Develops strong vendor partnerships
  • Other duties as assigned by the organization

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Procurement, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, or similar related role
  • Post Secondary Education in Procurement or Supply Management
  • Working experience in ERP Systems - Sage 300 an asset
  • Possesses strong skills in project management, problem solving/analytics, decision making, and supply chain systems
  • Strong business acumen in a Consumer Packaged Goods environment
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft applications, with a strong emphasis on Excel
  • Demonstrates strong autonomy and excels in self-directed tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong work ethic and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with a keen sense of urgency
  • Possesses strong attention to detail and proficient investigative abilities
  • Skilled in utilizing Demand Forecasting/Modeling tools
  • Exhibits excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills, enabling collaboration across various departments, alongside proven capability in managing multiple projects and timelines
  • Strong Verbal and written communication skills
