Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in the planning and execution of daily meal preparation tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control of meals.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages or needs to management.
- Participate in menu planning and development as needed, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines within the kitchen environment.
Skills
- MUST HAVE current Food Handlers certification
- Proven experience in the food service or restaurant industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that satisfy customers' needs.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing menus and dietary requirements as necessary.
