Could you be the full-time Workpackage Controller (VIE Program) in Montreal or Saint-Bruno (Quebec, Canada) we’re looking for?
Your future role
We’ll look to you for :
-
Support the Project Finance Manager and others project function as a finance partner
-
Prepare in coordination with the project team the different reports for the monthly Work Package Reviews following Alstom standards.
-
Planning of the regular meetings with all the departments (Engineering, Purchasing, Production, i.a) involved in the generation of the information to be included in the Work Packages.
-
Ensure that actuals and cost at completion of a work package (WP) are accurate.
-
Ensure that QCD Commitments of a WP are properly documented and monitored on a monthly basis.
-
Collaboration in different activities related to the projects representing the financial area and keeping the necesary independence.
-
Pro-active activities to mitigate overcosts by making proposals to the different areas (Purchasing, Production...) to generate savings.
-
Understand the project documents and systems and actively manage financial implications arising from them.
-
Ensure that all financial processes and internal controls, including DoA, are implemented, robust and compliant.

Provide management with reliable financial data in order to assist in the decision-making.

Ad-hoc reporting on project including special investigations of issues arising

A graduate degree with a financial background

Experience or understanding of production-related areas (internship or professional experience is a plus)

Strong technical and process understanding with a focus on optimization

Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel

A good level of English; additional language skills are a plus
-
Analytical thinking, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset
