Your work environment at EXP
This opportunity offers a full-time career-oriented position with our growing and dynamic team of engineering professionals. We are seeking a CAD Administrator to join and work in a flexible role that includes engineering and design for various technologies within the oil, gas and chemical sector. In this role, you will be a part of the Oil & Gas team, based in Brampton, ON office.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Work closely with the project team to develop, implement and monitor CAD design standards and procedures to meet the project requirements.
- Work with the project team to solve technical issues, provide needed training and oversight and solve other CAD system and quality issues.
- Identify opportunities and recommendations for increasing workflow efficiencies.
- Recommend best practices for solutions to meet or exceed project requirements.
- Train and supervise CAD users in core application skills and standards.
- Maintain documentation records of generated design deliverables.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization, outside vendors, clients and key project stakeholders.
- Ensure project documentation and contracts are in compliance with the standards set forth by the client.
What your experience looks like
- Must have at least 7+ years of practical experience.
- Minimum college diploma in related field preferred.
- Must have a strong understanding of AutoCAD, CADWorx, SolidWorks, NavisWorks, and SmartPlant software.
- Experience with 3D CAD development and delivery and rendering capabilities desirable but not required.
- Must have MS Office skills.
- Must have strong people skills, and ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in the engineering marketplace or construction industry is preferred. Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced engineering environment; working under occasionally stress & with tight deadlines; repetitive tasks; combination of sitting, standing, walking; working with others; critical thinking; problem solving; job task planning and organizing; computer use.
