About the role
Reporting to an Operations Processing Manager, the Wealth Operations Processing Analyst III will be part of the team that oversees and manages the processing of various investment orders, including equities, fixed-income securities, mutual funds, and GICs.
The Analyst III must effectively manage time in an independent fashion, monitor and action multiple queues while keeping in mind the various Service Level Agreements and adhering to regulatory controls. This role requires daily queue oversight to ensure Service Level Agreements are achieved. It must foresee when there will be issues with this and proactively assist with the reallocation of resources to ensure work is completed according to the stated time commitments. This role may be required to be the point of contact for all rush requests or those requiring escalation.
Accountabilities

Accurately process requests that come through various queues, demonstrate ability to be agile in processing a variety of requests that come through various platforms including trade execution and settlement with external vendors such as Mutual Fund Companies, Fundserv, CDS and other trade counter parties.

Develop and deliver clear, concise, and easily understandable resolutions that are tailored to the specific inquiry and the individual needs of the inquirer, while ensuring alignment with ATB's policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments to share knowledge, insights, and best practices related to inquiry resolution and risk assessment.

Proactively identify and escalate complex or high-risk inquiries to appropriate internal departments or subject matter experts to ensure timely and effective resolution.

Continuously enhance knowledge and understanding of ATB's products, services, and internal systems to provide accurate and up-to-date information to inquirers and colleagues.

Actively seek feedback from colleagues and leaders to identify areas for improvement and professional development.

Effectively reconcile trading outages and take appropriate action to balance the trading accounts.

Ability to work with minimal guidance in understanding securities regulations and internal policies.

Provide training and ongoing support during the onboarding process for new team members.

Leverage existing knowledge of the wealth management industry to identify gaps in processing and service levels and make recommendations for process improvements.

Prepare and review internal processing guides and job aids.

Comfortable in utilizing technology to help manage and efficiently deliver client solutions.

Maintain a high-level understanding of KYP and KYC.
Skills, experience & requirements
- Experience in the securities industry or a CIRO-licensed firm and a solid understanding of investment markets (including stocks, fixed income, and mutual funds) as well as trading and settlement processes.
- Excellent time management skills, able to prioritize requests and working within limited time frames.
- Strong technical proficiencies, including Google Workspace programs, Dataphile, Salesforce, Fundserv, CDS and the ability to quickly learn various other technical programs related to the Investment Industry.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thrive working in a fast paced environment managing important deadlines and high volumes during peak times.
- You are client obsessed, a champion of belonging, and driven to perform.
- Post secondary education or diploma would be an asset.
