THE ROLE:
Commissionaires’ NL provides security services at the Avalon Mall. Avalon Mall has been Newfoundland and Labrador’s premier shopping and entertainment destination for over 50 years. We are seeking a full time overnight supervisor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include but are not limited to:
Patrols both interior and exterior of all areas of the mall

Observe and Report issues of concern

Monitoring and operation of camera systems

Monitor for slip and trip hazards

Writing Reports

Supervising, Directing, Motivating, and Coaching Site Personnel.

Ensure Accurate Reports.

Ensure staff review and understand required policy’s and regulations.

Ensure supervision of each post and security duties are being followed.

When required provide relief or fill in on a post.

WHO WE’RE SEEKING

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Be professional & Reliable

Police Certificate of Conduct

First Aid Emergency Level (1 Day)

Must have Computer skills

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
The selected candidate will be professional and detail driven individual with a strong work ethic and “can do” attitude. Both physical and mental fitness is required. This often involves working in all types of environment conditions at varying times throughout the day or night.

Key qualifications and skills to be successful include but are not limited to:

Mental alertness with ability to:
React calmly, quickly, and appropriately in any crisis

Concentrate and remain alert for up to 8 hours

Communicate observed characteristics/behaviours

Demonstrate problem-solving and sound judgement

Physical fitness with ability to:
Carry out foot patrols and walk up/downstairs.

Superior attention to detail with very good verbal communication skills

Must be able to work alone if required

Excellent customer service skills
