Medicine Hat College’s Vera Bracken Library is welcoming applications for a temporary recurring seasonal Educational Technician (Educational Technology Specialist I). August 20, 2025 – February 1, 2026.
A little about the role:
The Educational Technology Specialist will be responsible for assisting and supporting the use of MHC provided technologies for college employees, students, and authorized users, by providing expertise on the use and technical setup and issues as well investigate and recommend educational practices involving technology in teaching and learning activities (including face to face, flexible, and online courses). This specialist will aid faculty and students with the integration and adoption of existing and emerging technologies into teaching and learning practices to enhance the digital learning experience at MHC.
Details:
As a successful applicant you'll have:
- Post secondary diploma in Information Technology OR Education Technology
- One year of experience at a post-secondary institution preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience will be considered
- Ability to troubleshoot and support classroom technology
- Strong interest in supporting faculty and staff in the development of educational technology skills
- Ability to collaborate and maintain excellent working relationships
- Experience with learning management system (preferably Blackboard) Experience working in a post-secondary institution
Terms of Employment
Hours: 16 hours per week (Weekday evenings with possibility of weekends)
Term of Appointment: August 20, 2025 – February 1, 2026
Wage Rate: $24.85 (Start Rate); $28.10 (Job Rate)
