Job Description MAJOR FUNCTION Provides customers with comprehensive information to solve their problems or assist them in making sound decisions and achieve customer satisfaction. Handles customer complaints and provides resolution, brings manager’s attention when necessary to ensure that proper and satisfactory service is delivered.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Processes orders received from faxes or e-mails
- Confirms account number, part number & descriptions
- Communication to customer on availability, open orders, and ship dates
- Confirms pricing & availability
- Answer customer service inquiries, phones or emails as assigned and meets statistical expectations as set by supervisor (refer to grid)
- Supports administrative duties on sending and receiving supplier purchase orders
- Ability to multi-task issuing credits and rebills according to policy and procedure
- Prioritize projects/responsibilities and other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalency
EXPERIENCE:
Entry levels to experienced; Desire a minimum of 2 years experience in a customer service or manufacturing environment
KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Written and verbal fluency in English and French
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to extract correct information from purchase orders – recognize special requests
- Ability to process large volumes of orders into ERP system on a daily basis
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to analyze problems and solve work related issues
- Job involves working in front of computer screen
- Solid attendance and reliable
- Accountable, quality driven
- High level of professionalism and solutions based decisions
- Team oriented with a solution mentality
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Familiar with MS Word, Excel, Outlook (Microsoft Suite)
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
- Capability to learn new software
