About the Role:

Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre (CONC) is looking for a proactive and strategic Facilities Manager to lead operations across a diverse portfolio of community-serving properties including shelters, transitional housing, and neighbourhood centres.

As Facilities Manager, you will oversee multi-site maintenance, compliance, safety systems, and vendor contracts while ensuring spaces are secure, functional, and responsive to the needs of our clients, staff, and community. You’ll play a critical role in CONC’s growth by aligning facility infrastructure with service delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage facilities operations across multiple CONC properties
  • Oversee preventive maintenance, safety systems, and inspections
  • Ensure full compliance with safety codes, AODA, and licensing regulations
  • Lead emergency preparedness planning and response
  • Manage contractors, security systems, and capital repair projects
  • Develop and oversee operational and capital budgets
  • Support organizational expansion and space optimization

What You Bring:

  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in multi-site facilities or property management
  • Knowledge of building codes, fire safety, AODA, and licensing
  • Experience managing vendor contracts and facilities budgets
  • Hands-on leadership style with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with facilities tracking software and digital recordkeeping
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license and ability to travel between sites

Founded in 1994, The Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre is a multi-service organization located in Toronto’s West end providing community based programming for everyone. We welcome all, including all demographics, social classes, status, gender and gender identification, ethnic background, religion, and age. As well we provide exceptional programming for high-needs children, youth-at-risk, homeless men and women, vulnerable community members, newcomers, or anyone who might require extra support. The Centre was incorporated in 1997 as a non-profit organization, gained charitable status in 2002 and became a United Way member agency in 2001. The Centre is governed by an elected Board of Directors largely consisting of local residents who reflect the diversity of the catchment area. It works from a community-capacity building framework to actively engage community members in program development, delivery, and evaluation.

The Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre is dedicated to building upon the strengths and vision of community members to improve the quality of life in the Christie Ossington community.
