We are seeking a visionaryChief Partnerships and Growth Officer to lead our strategic growth in Canada.

The ideal candidate will bring strong business development acumen, a data-informed approach to strategic decision-making, and the ability to lead and influence high-performing teams in a collaborative consulting environment. A career background in technical consulting—such as biology, ecology, agrology, geoscience, planning, or regulatory permitting is a distinct advantage. This role is well-suited to someone looking to transition from technical delivery to strategic business development and leadership.

This position offers flexibility to be based remotely within Western Canada, with a preference for candidates located near one of our established regional hubs (e.g., Vancouver, Calgary, Saskatoon, or Prince George) to facilitate team collaboration and client engagement.

Why Join EDI?

At EDI, we are committed to making a difference—for the environment, our communities, and the clients we serve. We offer a collaborative, values-driven culture, competitive compensation with a robust benefits package (including health, dental, RRSP contribution matching, profit-sharing and an employee share ownership program), and significant opportunities for professional development and growth. As a growing, employee-owned firm, we are shaping the future of environmental consulting—and we invite you to help lead the way.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

· Leading and implementing EDI’s national business development strategy and execution, aligning with company vision, values, regional growth goals, and market opportunities

· Providing leadership for Indigenous business initiatives, with an emphasis on meaningful partnerships, economic reconciliation, and measurable growth

· Overseeing the proposal development process, focusing on:

  • Data-driven decision-making on go/no-go
  • Proposal quality and win rate
  • Efficiency metrics such as hours spent per successful bid

· Leading and managing EDI’s marketing, communications, and brand strategy to support business development and thought leadership positioning

· Optimizing the integrated corporate wide use of client relationship management (CRM) tools and digital platforms to enhance tracking, reporting, and decision-making related to client and partner engagement

· Providing guidance and support to regional teams and technical staff to support client development and growth of key focus areas

· Collaborating with EDI’s executive and regional leaders to integrate business development planning with operational and technical delivery

This role is pivotal in driving EDI's growth, particularly in the Prairies, and significantly expanding our Indigenous business initiatives. Success will be measured by increased client engagement, measurable growth in key accounts and new quality clients, and the establishment of impactful new partnerships that align with EDI's values.

Qualifications and Experience

· Approximately 10 years of experience in a consulting or professional services environment, ideally including roles involving business development, client engagement, strategic partnerships, or leadership

· Demonstrated experience with business development strategies and proposal efforts in a complex, multidisciplinary environment is an asset

· Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations in Canada; knowledge of Indigenous governance, engagement protocols, and economic development models is a strong asset

· Demonstrated ability to analyze data, make informed decisions and then drive performance improvements

· Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to influence across an organization

· Familiarity with CRM platforms and marketing tools

· Technical expertise in one of EDI’s core service areas (e.g., terrestrial/aquatic biology, environmental permitting, reclamation) is an asset

About EDI Environmental Dynamics Inc.

Agriculture, Construction, Mining Machinery Manufacturing

EDI provides you with practical, environmental consulting services, specializing in aquatic and terrestrial sciences. Why practical? — because that's the kind of result you can do something with.

It drives us to stay focused on our clients' needs.

It drives us towards effective results.

It means that when we talk with our clients, we listen.

It means that if we have a crew headed out your way anyway, we'll stop by your project and take that sample you need at no extra charge.

Most importantly, it means that we take aquatic and terrestrial biology out of the theoretical world and put it to work for you on the ground (or in the water). And at the end of it all, we won't hand you a report that calls for more reports. You'll have actionable plans and hands-on management that keep your projects moving.
