The successful applicant must be detailed oriented, focused, driven, and able to work in a team environment or independently, self-motivated and have a genuine desire to get the job done in a confidential, efficient, and accurate manner.
Job Responsibilities
- Demonstrate exceptional sales and partnering skills, with the ability to identify customers’ business needs and apply knowledge of Atlantic Grocery Distributors products and services to assist customers in meeting their needs and achieving their goals
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to determine and negotiate contracts that will mutually benefit both your customers and AGD
- Become 100% proficient in all aspects of Power Net, including data entry, and modifying orders
- Provide quotes on various products
- Review customer orders by product category to identify opportunities for add-ons and increased customer sales penetration
- Excellent time management & computer skills, with the ability to organize yourself so that you will grasp the total territory to its fullest
- Must excel in a team environment, creating positive working relationships with both internal and external customers
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal in a manner that is sensitive to the receiver’s needs and is easy to understand
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Main areas of assigned territory include Stephenville, Corner Brook, Pasadena, Deer Lake with seasonal travel to Northern Peninsula (outside of Winter months).
- Company vehicle or vehicle allowance will be provided
Qualifications
- Experience with and demonstrated proficiency with MS Office applications (such as MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to quickly learn new systems
- Ability to work well with deadlines
- Previous experience in the Retail or Food Service Industry would be a definite asset
- Must hold a valid driver's license
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Overnight travel will be required on times
- Ability to resolve client concerns
- Ability to develop and deliver business presentations to gain new customers
