Job Summary

As a member of the Lift Operations team, you are responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of all guests while providing a welcoming and informed on-hill experience. You’ll ensure lift ticket compliance, perform snow maintenance, and assist with lift operations and guest flow. This front-line role requires strong attention to safety, commitment to excellent customer service, effective communication, and cross-department collaboration. Your efforts help create an inclusive experience united by adventure, empowered by community.

Job Specifications

  • Wage: Based on experience
  • Schedule: Full-time, including weekends and holidays
  • Skill Level: Entry Level
  • Reports To: Lift Operations Supervisor

Job Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload passengers, providing clear instruction and support at all times
  • Monitor the safe operation of lifts and adjust speed as needed
  • Ensure every guest has a valid ticket using hand scanners at lift access points
  • Perform snow work including shoveling, raking, clearing chairs and ramps of snow, ice, and grease
  • Follow and uphold CSA Z98-19 Code and resort safety protocols
  • Report any lift malfunctions or concerns promptly to maintenance and dispatch
  • Work closely with Lift Maintenance staff to ensure proper equipment handling
  • Accurately complete lift and stop logs each shift
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free loading/unloading area
  • Use proper radio communication at all times
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering assistance
  • Participate in emergency response procedures as needed
  • Support other departments as required, particularly during weather events or peak periods
  • Maintain a professional, approachable appearance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • No experience necessary; training provided (experience is an asset)
  • Strong decision-making and situational awareness in a fast-paced outdoor environment
  • Physically able to shovel snow, groom ramps, assist guests, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to work outdoors for extended periods in winter weather
  • Comfortable working weekends, holidays, and variable shifts
  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptable, team-oriented, and calm under pressure
  • Willing to assist across departments, including during cross-training or snow removal
  • Supportive of a family- and community-oriented resort environment
