Summer Internship - Brand Representative at INSPIRELY
Are you passionate about STEM education and looking for an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the 2025 Canadian National Exhibition (CNE)? As a Summer Intern at INSPIRELY, you’ll play a vital role in representing our brand, engaging with customers, and driving sales for our DIY Educational Building STEAM Kits at the CNE’s Arts and Crafts Building. This is a fantastic chance to develop your skills in retail, customer service, and marketing while promoting STEM education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Achievement: Drive sales and achieve daily goals by actively engaging with customers and promoting our STEAM kits. Incentives will be provided for meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Customer Engagement: Be enthusiastic and proactive in connecting with visitors, answering their questions, and building strong relationships to spark interest in our products.
- Product Demonstration: Showcase our STEAM Kits, highlighting their educational value and unique features to attract potential buyers.
- Booth Management: Keep the booth organized and well-stocked, ensuring an inviting atmosphere that encourages visitors to explore our products.
- Sales Reporting: Track daily sales figures and provide feedback on customer interactions and product interest.
Eligibility:
- Currently enrolled as a student at a Canadian post-secondary institution.
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or someone with refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
- Willing to undergo a background check.
- Note: International students with work permits are not eligible due to partial funding from the Canadian government’s summer program.
Application Process:
- As part of the application process, applicants are required to submit a video showcasing their skills, enthusiasm for customer engagement, and ability to communicate effectively. This will be a key part of the screening process.
- Only candidates who demonstrate the right motivation, engagement, and fit for the CNE event will be considered for the internship.
Availability:
- Flexible availability to work a total of 60 hours during the CNE (August 15 - September 1, 2025), including evenings and weekends. Interns will work in shifts, typically 8-hour shifts, between 9 AM and 10:15 PM EDT.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 22 kg.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sales aptitude and enthusiasm for STEM education.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Motivated to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
Job Types: Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 2 weeks
Pay: $22.00-$23.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
