· RECE: Children’s Village at Klondike requires a 5hr/day Term RECE for their Kindergarten and School Age program. Starting August 29th, 2025 until June 29th, 2026 with possibility of extension (CYC and OCT applicants will also be considered) *possibility of a split shift*
· RECE: Children’s Village at Bridlewood requires a Term 5 hours/day Registered Early Childhood Educator for their School Age Program – Starting August 29th, 2025 until November 2025 (CYC and OCT applicants will also be considered) *possibility of a split shift*
· RECE: Children’s Village at Stoneway requires a Term 5 hours/day Registered Early Childhood Educator for their School Age Program – Starting August 29th, 2025 until June 29th, 2026 with possibility of extension (CYC and OCT applicants will also be considered) *possibility of a split shift*
· RECE: Rivermist Early Learning Centre *NEW LOCATION OPENING SOON* requires a Permanent 7 hours/day Registered Early Childhood Educator for their Preschool Program (rotational shifts).
Job Summary:
The RECE will provide a high quality program of education and care for children in a group setting under the direction of the Program Supervisor reflecting the principles of Early Learning for Every Child Today and Ontario’s Pedagogy for the early years, How Does Learning Happen?, and in accordance with the regulations of the Child Care and Early Years Act. They will collaborate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a developmentally appropriate program that facilitate learning and the attainment of the developmental goals for the children and focuses on active learning through exploration, play, and inquiry. They will participate in the supervision and the evaluation of supply staff, students, and others in the implementation of emergent curriculum/project approach. Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
- Registered member in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators;
- Early Childhood Education Diploma/Degree from a recognized community college or University or other equivalent education qualifications;
- Minimum of one-year experience in a Licensed Child Care Program with the appropriate age group;
- Experience working with emergent curriculum, How Does Learning Happen? and Early Learning for Every Child Today;
- Holds a valid Standard First Aid & CPR – Level C Certification;
- Clean and current Police Vulnerable Record Check;
- Displays a caring, compassionate and respectful attitude towards children and families;
- Displays the ability to communicate well in English, both orally and in writing;
- Demonstrates the ability to work as a team member with professionalism, shows initiative, reliability, and an eagerness to learn;
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs for children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to support a collaborative learning environment.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing space by adhering to health and safety regulations, including First Aid and CPR protocols.
- Monitor children's progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse needs, including those with disabilities.
- Maintain organized records of children's development and classroom activities.
Salary: Starting at $48,732.19 per year prorated ($26.78 per hour), plus applicable PWEG per hour (up to $2 per hour). Permanent positions include a comprehensive benefits package and paid leave. Term positions include 4% vacation pay and paid Personal Leave. Part time positions are prorated to reflect hours worked.
