JOB SUMMARY:
Lantic is currently recruiting for the position of Labour Planning Agent, reporting to the Team Leader, Labour Planning and based at our Montreal refinery. The Labour Planning Agent plays a key role in ensuring optimal workforce utilization while fostering healthy labor relations at all levels, in accordance with the current collective agreement, current occupational health and safety regulations, good operational practices, and current food reliability regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and post work schedules on a weekly basis;
  • Receive overtime requests for various departments;
  • Follow labor planning procedures (collective agreement, mutual exchanges, vacations, leave, etc.) in accordance with the current collective agreement and the training management guide;
  • Update various human resources files (employee files, training records, skills card records);
  • Coordinate and plan time off for employees in the operations sector (union releases, safety meetings, meetings with senior management, training activities, various committees, etc.);
  • Increase knowledge of and apply the current collective agreement to support managers in their daily decision-making;
  • Maintain harmonious relationships with union representatives to ensure good understanding and participation when setting work schedules; Produce various reports regarding labor utilization (reasons for overtime, training certificates, etc.);
  • Scan various files.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • College diploma in business administration or equivalent ;
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years in a similar work environment;
  • Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment and knowledge of collective bargaining agreements (an asset);
  • Bilingualism (spoken and written) to communicate with our English and French sites, an asset;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Team player with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative;
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills;
  • Good computer and organizational skills;
  • Attention to detail and quality, as well as rigor, creativity, and innovation;
  • Diploma, interpersonal skills, respect, and honesty.
