Overview:

As part of the Finance Reporting team, the Manager – Financial Analysis will prepare financial reports using Power BI and Excel. They will communicate with internal clients across the country to present their work, discuss new requests, and answer business questions. The Manager – Financial Analysis will also create and modify data ETL workflows within Azure Databricks and Synapse.
What you will do:
- Report Creation (60% of time):
- Create and modify dashboards and reports in Power BI
- Create financial reports and ad hoc analyses in Excel
- Write SQL queries to import data into Power BI and Excel
- Review reports to ensure accuracy
- Collaboration (20% of time):
- Demonstrate newly created reports to end users
- Meet with internal clients to answer their business questions
- Work with other Finance Reporting team members to solve problems and discuss improvements
- Data Management (15% of time):
- Create and modify data ETL workflows in Azure Databricks and Synapse
- Query data from Azure Synapse
- Identify data discrepancies
- Learning (5% of time):
- Research data visualization and data management best practices
- Enhance Microsoft Azure, Power BI, and Excel skills
- Learn about the business and how to support it with helpful financial information
What you bring to this role:
- 2-3 years experience in financial analysis
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or data science
- Strong communication skills
- Analytical problem-solving mindset
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience creating Power BI reports and DAX measures
- Experience writing SQL queries an asset
- Experience with Azure Databricks an asset
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics an asset
