About the role
Job Overview:
We’re looking for a warm, outgoing, and organized Office Assistant to join our team. In this part-time role, you’ll be the friendly face that welcomes families and athletes to our club, answers questions, supports our management team, and keeps things running smoothly at the front desk. You’ll be reporting directly to our Administrator and working closely with our leadership team to support day-to-day operations.
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-first environment and is looking to work in a fun, active, and community-oriented setting.
Schedule:
- Summer: 1–2 weeknights per week (Mondays 3:00-9:00pm, with daytime training hours available Monday–Friday)
- Fall (starting September): 3–4 evenings per week (3:30–9:00 PM) and Saturdays (8:30 AM–3:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet members and visitors with warmth and professionalism
- Answer phone calls, return voicemails, and respond to emails
- Help members with registrations, class changes, and account questions using Jackrabbit software
- Process payments and sell merchandise from our club store
- Keep the front desk and reception area clean and welcoming
- Provide general administrative support to staff and leadership
- Assist with special events, competitions, and community activities as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Friendly, outgoing, and approachable personality
- A strong communicator with great customer service skills
- Takes initiative, stays organized, and is comfortable multitasking
- Proficient with computers and able to learn new systems quickly
- Previous experience in an office, customer service, or administrative setting is an asset
- Must be available to train during weekday daytime hours this summer
