Role Description
This is a full-time Intermediate Accountant role, located on-site in North York, ON. The Intermediate Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial statements, conducting account reconciliations, assisting with budget preparation, monitoring internal accounting processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Additional tasks include managing accounts payable and receivable, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and contributing to financial audits.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in preparing financial statements and conducting account reconciliations
- Experience in budget preparation and monitoring internal accounting processes
- Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable management
- Familiarity with month-end and year-end close processes
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in the retail or grocery industry is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional accounting certification (CPA or equivalent) is beneficial
