Key Assets Newfoundland and Labrador (KANL) provides family-based and residential care along with a wide variety of programming and other services to support children, youth and families. Working in partnership with statutory bodies, KANL strives to develop creative and innovative programs for the provision of unique and supportive services, tailored to meet the needs of children, youth, and families, and designed to work towards improving outcomes. KANL is currently recruiting in St. John’s, NL for the position of:
Scheduling and Business Support Coordinator
Temporary, Full Time Position (Until December 15, 2025 with possibility of extension)
At Key Assets, the Scheduling and Business Support is responsible for the development and oversight of employee schedules in all residential programs and related administrative duties.
The Scheduling and Business Support Coordinator will complete the following, but is not limited to:
· Responsible for ensuring staff schedules are completed for all homes by facilitating availability process, creating bi-weekly schedules, collaborate with supervisors on time off requests, schedule employees returning from leave of absence, utilizes call-in process to find replacements for sick/emergency call ins etc. in accordance with the prescribed process.
· Verifies schedules and assign shifts on a daily basis by managing calls from employees, recording reasons for no shows, or decline of shifts, liaising with management on areas of concern.
· Manage Time and Attendance System to ensure accurate and timely payroll output
· Maintain the accuracy of vacation, sick and statutory holiday leaves, including ensuring the employee has sufficient hours for the requested leave.
· Collects timesheets and facilitates timesheet edits/adjustments as needed.
· Prepares timesheet summaries and submits to Payroll and Benefits Coordinator
· Collects and analyses on-call reports
Please note this is an in-office position.
Education & Experience:
To be successful in this role, the candidate is required to have:
- Diploma/Degree in Office Administration or Business Administration considered an asset.
- A Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in administration.
- Scheduling experience would be considered an asset
Additional Requirements:
· Clear Certificate of Conduct from RNC/RCMP
· Valid Proof of Canadian Residency

- Competitive salary commensurate with education and experience ($60,914 to $75,910)
- Group Health Benefits enrollment (medical, dental, etc.) and competitive RRSP contribution matching up to 5% of employee contribution
- Annual leave entitlement of 20 days per year (4 weeks) Pro-rated
- Sick leave entitlement of 7 days per year Pro-rated
