About the role
Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The Pricing Analystwill utilize strong leadership, accounting, analytical & organizational skills to support our Supply Chain Finance Team. Support will include managing pricing, timely & accurate account reconciliations & analysis, various month end tasks, plus other ad-hoc analysis as required, all while ensuring internal controls are always maintained.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Co-ordinate & implement Canadian pricing for new & existing items
- Investigate & resolve pricing related discrepancies
- Prepare analysis & pricing recommendations as required
- Reconciliation and analysis of financial accounts assigned
- Weekly & monthly reporting to Customer as required
- Recommend process improvements and efficiencies as applicable
- Manage & coordinate various invoices submitted for processing on behalf of the Customer
- Manage customs inquiries & payments
- Support Martin-Brower inbound (MBI)
- Ad hoc analysis when applicable
- Ensure the operations follow all Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR), Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and Good Warehouse Practices (GWP)/Good Drivers Practices (GDP) for transport rules and regulations
- Other projects or duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business or Accounting
- Minimum of 2+ years accounting experience
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to focus on the details
- Strong interpersonal and exceptional problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines
- Ability to understand, develop and refine processes
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Possess a professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently/self-managed and in a team environment
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools, particularly Excel
- Ability to interact with personnel at all levels internal & external to the organization to obtain, discuss, and analyze information and processes for distribution operations
- Experience working in the distribution or manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of JD Edwards or similar ERP’s
- This position must pass a post-offer background check
